Massive 8.8 Quake Strikes Chile (early Saturday Feb. 27)
There was an alignment on December 1, 2008, of Venus, Jupiter and the moon, it began to accelerate a revelation of the secrets on your planet. The moon of Jupiter known as Io holds all of the secrets of creation energetically. That information is being revealed into your consciousness, so that you will be able to use that energy with your integrity. Source
Annular Solar Eclipse of 2010 Jan. 15 View Map of Pathway ... On Friday, 2010 January 15, an annular eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a 300-km-wide track that traverses half of Earth. The path of the Moon's antumbral shadow begins in Africa and passes through Chad, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia. After leaving Africa, the path crosses the Indian Ocean where the maximum duration of annularity reaches 11 min 08 s. The central path then continues into Asia through Bangladesh, India, Burma (Myanmar), and China. A partial eclipse is seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes eastern Europe, most of Africa, Asia, and Indonesia.
In traditional eclipse lore, where the Eclipse is visible will be where the greatest effects can be expected, lasting the number of years that the eclipse is long in hours. This one is 3 hours 45 minutes, thus making it active for the next 3 years and 9 months, making it a major player in the spectacular events coming through 2013. Read more here ... And also here

by Maurice Fernandez _(evolutionary astrologer)
Greetings, I feel compelled to write this note about what we astrologers are seeing coming. We are in the beginning of a very unique time in history that will redefine the foundations of our lives. The astrological circumstances are uncommon and very dramatic. Change is likely to affect every level of our being, even though each person will feel it differently and in varying degrees of intensity.
I'm writing this note so that you may make better use of this time and understand what it is about. As astrologers we are aware of cycles that affect our existence; because this coming cycle is very unique, I feel it is important to share this information. I will try to keep it simple and not burden you with a long text and excessive details.
There are multiple planetary bodies that are gradually forming a very particular and rare alignment. This configuration began to form during the fall of 2008. Politically, that time was when the economical crisis exploded and when US president Barack Obama was elected. The configuration will move into a second phase during November 2009 and January/February 2010. (Saturn will move into the Cardinal sign of Libra and will form powerful angle to Pluto in Capricorn)...
The third phase is probably the most dramatic and intense, and will occur from the end of June to the end of July 2010, when all the factors of the configuration will align together in a cross at the very beginning of Cardinal signs in astrology. (Cardinal signs are the signs of new cycles. The planets in questions are Pluto, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. These planets are slow moving bodies and therefore it is absolutely exceptional that these slow moving bodies end up all aligned in a cross on these very sensitive degrees!
In normal circumstances, some people go through changes while others continue their routine. Here the alignment is so strong and dramatic that everyone's life can be considerably affected it is likely that your life will not be the same by fall 2010! The question that often arises is:" Is it bad, or is it good?" The answer is that it depends on the way one deals with the events; a conscious approach can make a difference.
One thing for certain: do not expect security, consistency, and predictability during this time. Reality is bound to change fast and so it is better to move with the flow, while remaining conscious of what is going on. Flexibility is one of the most important assets during this time. This influence is analogous to a gigantic wave formingyou can ride on that wave and go farther than ever expected -experience a powerful transformation that can elevate you to new grounds. But this wave can also destroy a lot of what you are currently attached to.
Redefinition may occur in different fields: you may change vocation, relationships, location, mindsets, to name but a few. New people will move into your life, current ones may leave. New ideas and projects will develop and you may feel inspired to completely reinvent yourself! The cards are re-shuffled! This is a time of an awakening, a revolutionan internal and social revolution.
Everything is shaking up everythingfrom November 2009 until August 2010, nothing will stay still. It can be very good, but you have to learn to navigate these changes and seize opportunity when it comes. Don't try to have it all perfect, don't try to keep the cake and eat it: change can take you to a completely new and perhaps higher level of what you are about, but you will have to let go of your security during this time. It is a time for risk, reinvention, new ideas, new concepts, new vision, and the impetus to make it happen.
Marriages may break, jobs and possessions may be lost, people may get sick, and simultaneously, new relationships may emerge, new passion may awaken, a completely new lifestyle is in the making...You are embarking on an adventure whether you know it or not, whether you like it or not. My suggestion: make peace with the idea, don't resist the adventure. If you are accepting it, you will make the best of it. If you fight and resist it, you won't win. This is what I mean by being open to risk taking it may be time to take that "plunge!"
Risking does not mean giving in to every silly venture. It is about hearing a calling for truththings you have denied, postponed, avoided, feared, but things you know were true. This is a time to be more truthful and follow a calling.
Collectively, while the forces of corruption and manipulation may attempt to control the course of events, they are bound to disintegrate. Scandals will continue to hit the newsNatural events will continue to shake the earth. At worst, a war may break during summer 2010 or later because dramatic changes can spur fear and conflict... But it does not have to go that way; we are creators of our own destiny in the midst of the given circumstances.
As you go through these changes, it is crucial that you take good care of your immune system because as positive as changes may be, they can overwhelm you and weaken your immune system: eat more healthy, avoid fast sugar, ingest raw garlic and onions daily (sandwich), exercise, take time out of the intensity loop, do not let negativity take over-these are basic tips that can keep you grounded.
Importantly: the situation heating up is like a piece of molten iron that can be beaten into a better form-personally and collectively. Be an ambassador of good and avoid wasting time on trivial details. For example, as we see the earth being depleted and all resources and species dwindling, people waste time arguing if global warming is or is not happeningif it is man-made or not! IT DOESN'T MATTER! What matters is that the natural world is vanishing before our eyes because of our misaligned actions: excessive pollution, deforestation, and peaking toxicity levels are a reality beyond global warming debates.
Similarly, the economy is not likely to stabilize any time soonbut perhaps, necessarily so. And so it will be with many other aspects of your life...you will not have immediate answers. Be patient and keep doing your best. When the cycle will complete, new circumstances will emerge... This cannot be artificially rushed. These dramatic times are an opportunity for us to restructure our lives, personally and collectively. As many things are being redefined, we can relinquish bad habits and attachments, open up to new ideas, and invest in what works rather than settle for immediate gratification. Patience is another essential asset.
In this context, do not expect others to change for the better if you don't do it yourself. We blame the governments and project our frustration on distant "evils," but fail to open our hearts ourselves. Being pro-active may work better than being self-righteous.
IMPORTANT DATES TO NOTE:
October 30 to early December 2009
January 15 to February 15, 2010
June 25 to August 5, 2010
November 1 to December 26, 2010
GENERAL SUGGESTIONS:
Understand this is an opportunity to reinvent ourselves in a better way.
Understand there will be a price to pay, something may need to go.
If you lose something or someone, understand this is the sign of these times, use a crisis to venture into new horizons and create something new.
Understand this is an adventure and risk must be taken.
Understand that this is not a time when we can expect security-we are in transition...
Listen to your inner truth, make you life truly happen now.
Take care of your immune system: avoid bad diets in generalthey render you vulnerable to opportunistic viruses.
Support your friends and family, we all shall need one another for support during this transition time.
Cultivate your spiritual practice: this is also important for your immune system.
Do your best to do good: whatever you seed now will have effect now and later.
There is probably more than can be said and explained, but you get the point An incredible opportunity is arising, now and throughout 2010this type of cycle has not happened in recent history. We can expect a certain level of destruction to occur-that is the price to paybut the prospect of experiencing an awakening and creating a better future is now within reach. We are now in the midst of a revolution-a cultural, social, and political revolution. On a personal level, it is a conceptual, emotional, and or spiritual revolutiontruly, it is in the making!

for March 8 to 14, 2010
Highlighted Aspects for This Week
Tuesday: Saturn opposite Venus, Mars sesquisquare Mercury; Wednesday: Mars goes direct 8:49am PST; Thursday: Pluto square Venus; Sunday: Mercury conjunct Sun
At long last, Mars goes direct this week. It seems like a very long time since the red planet went retrograde back on December 20. Many have experienced this time as less than conducive to external progress, as the energies of forward motion have been made most available to our inner work.
And, with Mars being retrograde in Leo, the intention of that inner process has been to more completely understand and claim the truth of our hearts, so that once Mars is again focusing his energies in the outer world, we may create in accordance with those heart-level desires. It can be easy to go along with something that makes rational sense, or that is familiar and therefore comfortable, without taking that vital step of checking in with our core knowing of what would truly bring us the joy and fulfillment we want.
This Mars retrograde phase has been our time to uncover what is at the essence of whatever we've been wanting to create. If we've been wanting something new -- whether it's a new job, a better living situation, improved relationships, or anything else -- what is the fulfillment that we really are looking for? What do we want to feel that we currently do not?
It may be that during these past three months, there have been what seem like "false starts," where we began heading in a certain direction and then met an energetic dead-end, realizing that we didn't really want to be on that road after all. Or, it may have been hard to do those things we didn't really want to do, with procrastination being our tool of choice.
All of this has been designed, not to make us feel bad about ourselves and our efforts, but to make us more fully aware of what enlivens us, what brings us joy, and what encourages our creative spark to burst into flame versus what blows it out.
Since Mars is virtually a standstill this week, we have a few more days to do our inner-assessment work, if needed, before taking what we have learned about ourselves "on the road." In fact, we may want to aim for the Equinox on March 20 as the best time to initiate new projects, when we will also have the energy of the Sun in Aries to support the planting of new seeds. By that time, too, Mars will have picked up a bit more of his forward momentum, giving us a stronger wind at our backs.
Venus is in the spotlight this week as she steps into the Pluto-Saturn fray, first opposing Saturn on Tuesday and then squaring Pluto on Thursday. These planetary interactions put our relationships, values, and financial situations in a bit of a squeeze play -- with the intention (as with all interactions with the ongoing Pluto-Saturn square) of helping us face reality so that we can make conscious decisions about what we want to keep and what we need to let go of.
And, in keeping with the Pluto-in-Capricorn themes, this is also helping us see more clearly if our foundations in these areas are truly strong, or if the building above ground has only been a "front" that has kept hidden certain structural flaws.
It's more than a little difficult when something we've relied on seems to fall apart beneath our feet. And yet, knowing that a house has problems in the foundation allows us to take action to fix the problem -- or informs us not to buy the house in the first place.
The Sun and Mercury alignment next Sunday is a foreshadowing (fore-enlightening?) of the energies of the New Moon the following day (Monday, March 15). The joining of the Sun and Mercury usually focuses our minds and supports thinking and planning. However, this particular alignment, since it occurs in mystical Pisces, may be more conducive to dreaming and visioning than it is helpful for logic and reasoning.
Uranus is just one degree away from the Sun and Mercury when they align. This provides an even greater emphasis on the mind-expanding, mystical qualities of the alignment. And, we are likely to see that energy last for a three-day period, beginning on Sunday the 14th, then continuing through the New Moon and Mercury-Uranus alignment on the 15th and the Sun-Uranus alignment late on the 16th.
More on the New Moon in next week's Journal, of course. But now's a good time to schedule in some "unplanned" time for March 14 through 16, so that we can take advantage of the expansive energies of the Sun-Mercury-Uranus alignment. Allow yourself the space and time to be receptive to the insights, heightened perspective and cosmic perceptions available. After all, with Uranus involved, that longed-for breakthrough in consciousness is entirely possible.

Monday: Mercury enters Pisces, Mars quincunx Mercury; Tuesday: Neptune biquintile Saturn, Saturn quincunx Mercury; Wednesday: Uranus conjunct Venus; Sunday: Venus enters Aries, Mars trine Venus, Pluto quintile Sun, Jupiter conjunct Mercury
Another Earthquake has rocked the planet, this latest one off the coast of Chile being the fifth largest Earth shift in present-day recorded history. To say that it was an energy release 500 times more intense than the recent quake in Haiti tells the story in planetary terms.
Both of these earthquakes have done much to remind us of the interconnectedness of our human family -- perhaps acting as messengers for the higher purposes of the current Neptune-Chiron alignment in Aquarius: the bringing together of those who have been estranged in a new understanding of our commonality.
The heart-level response after the Haitian quake was immediate and global, an unprecedented unification of peoples in humanitarian cause, and a major reawakening of Community. And the widespread tsunami warnings following the Chilean quake, while (thankfully) lifted without additional catastrophes having occurred, have reminded us of our common Home, and that what affects one affects All.
Our concept of "neighborhood" and "neighbor" will continue to expand, under the influence of the Neptune-Chiron alignment, throughout much of 2010.
The first date of exact Neptune-Chiron alignment was February 16, but the energy was brought more fully into our awareness as Mercury conjoined both Neptune and Chiron yesterday (February 27, the date of the Chilean quake). This is often how the effects of a major planetary alignment manifest in physical reality -- the energy created by the two slower-moving planets is "triggered" into manifestation when a faster-moving planet catches up to them.
Neptune and Chiron remain in very close contact with each other (within one degree) for the next two weeks, and then will gradually become less entwined as Chiron, the faster-moving of the two, moves ahead of Neptune. Both will go retrograde in late May/early June, and gradually come closer to each other until they again conjoin during the third week of October. They are then virtually roommates for the remainder of the year, not separating until we are well into 2011.
This means that the effects of this Neptune-Chiron alignment are very strong now, then may have peaks of effect in late May/early June (when Mars is opposite them both from his location in Leo), and then will return to finish their work with us during the last three months of 2010.
Do we expect earthquakes again during those key times? Perhaps. It's never easy to forecast such things, especially given the fact that Aquarius is involved, arguably the least predictable of the signs.
But, in keeping with the purposes of the Neptune-Chiron alignment, we can predict that whatever occurs around these times will contribute to the dissolving of boundaries or barriers that have kept us alienated from each other.
Mercury changes signs this week, moving into Pisces on Monday. This represents a shift in our shared consciousness, as we change our perspective from being intellectually-based (leaving Aquarius, an air sign) into being more heart-centered (entering Pisces, a water sign).
This may be a subtle shift for most of us. But once Mercury dons the flowing garments of Pisces, we will have five planets (the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus) in the sign of compassion, sensitivity and spiritual alignment. This emphasis on the last sign of the zodiac supports our spiritual growth and reminds us to rely more on our intuition than our logic. Pisces also encourages us to release and forgive the past, knowing that to hold on now only interferes with our ability to make a new start with the astrological New Year on March 20.
Venus is the first of those five Pisces planets to set foot into the energies of that New Year, as she enters Aries next Sunday. This change of signs represents our opportunity to begin anew in the areas of relationship and resources.
Before she leaves Pisces, however, Venus will get a jumpstart of sorts, through her alignment with Uranus on Wednesday. This may be just the energetic support we need to break free from the constraints of the past, in terms of how we've handled our relationships and resources. Depending on our situation and our soul's purposes, this alignment may coincide with gaining literal freedom -- as in letting go of a relationship or of a financial support system -- or a more figurative (but sometimes even more powerful) freedom from the attitudes and perspectives that have kept us in bondage in these areas.
Most notably, because we are dealing with Pisces, we will be encouraged to liberate ourselves from ways in which we have played victim, rescuer, or martyr in our relationships. The more we can utilize this Uranus-Venus influence in productive ways, to free ourselves of the bondage of these roles, the better we will be able to also use the energy that begins on Sunday, when Venus both enters Aries and forms a supportive, forward-moving trine aspect with Mars.
Speaking of Mars, we are in our last full week of Mars retrograde, as he is slowing in preparation for going direct on March 10. We have just a few more days to complete our review work that was begun in late December. This has been an opportunity to look more closely at what we REALLY want, and perhaps also to see how our false ego has gotten in the way of our finding true joy.
We can continue to take advantage of this inward-seeking energy throughout this week, with the anticipation of using what we have learned to create new avenues of self-expression in the weeks and months to come.
Another subtle influence that becomes exact this week is a biquintile aspect between Neptune and Saturn on Tuesday (a biquintile is formed when planets are separated by 144 degrees). Any interaction between Neptune and Saturn brings together the themes of idealism and realism, two concepts often seen as opposites.
But the biquintile is an aspect of creativity, which should help us find ways to link those opposites. Depending on our soul's need, this may correspond in the "positive" with the concrete manifestation of something we have held as an ideal. In the "negative," this influence may indicate a reality check, where we see what can and cannot be accomplished in terms of manifesting our vision.
And yet, even what we initially see as a negative can quickly become a positive with this influence. As astrologer Bil Tierney writes in his book Dynamics of Aspect Analysis, the biquintile "allows us to grasp a holistic overview, plus grants us the power and single-mindedness required to bring such a rare perspective into sharper focus, integrating all intricacies involved into a more unified whole."
To have the ability to gain the higher perspective on our dreams -- whether or not they are manifesting as we thought they would -- can only be a good thing.
Blessings,
Pam

Our Sun has been very active since the beginning of 2010. On most days, there has been at least one active sunspot on the Sun's surface, and solar flares and coronal mass ejections have been increasing. These solar activities cause our beautiful Northern Lights, as the solar wind from those eruptions on the Sun's surface reach Earth's atmosphere and the two energy fields interact.
It would seem that the extreme solar minimum we've been experiencing is finally over. "Solar minimum" is the term for a period when the Sun is mostly quiet. This latest solar minimum was quieter than most, causing some to be concerned: Since 2004, the Sun has been inactive (without sunspots) 772 days. This is compared to a typical solar minimum that has about 485 inactive days.
This renewed solar activity means we'll again have more physical proof of the Sun's effect on us Earthlings, beyond supplying the warmth and light we need to survive. There will be more auroras to grace our skies, and more potential for disruptions of electronic devices when solar flares and coronal mass ejections are especially strong.
In metaphysical terms, the Sun's renewed activity explains a bit about how we've been feeling since early January. We receive information and energy from the Sun with each solar wind that reaches our atmosphere. With the Sun more active now after such an extended quiet phase, we are going through a time of adjustment, as we get used to the increased energy impulses reaching Earth.
The Sun is not only the hub of our solar system -- it is also our point of interaction with the energies of all the other planets that also orbit our great star. Each of the planets in the solar system is held in orbit by gravity, and through that magnetic field, each planet exchanges energy and information with the Sun. When solar winds reach Earth, those winds contain data not only from our Sun, but from all the planets.
The process of receiving this information happens on fairly subtle levels and mostly unconsciously for the majority of us. But since we're becoming more sensitive to energy impulses, it may be a good time to start paying more attention to how we feel and what insights are available when those solar winds reach us. If you're interested, the SpaceWeather.com website monitors solar activity and solar wind speed 24 hours a day (http://spaceweather.com/). Astrologically speaking, the Sun represents our core personal identity. Its location by sign, house and aspect in our birth charts reveals vital information about who we chose to be in this lifetime, where we most wanted to experience fulfillment, and the personality traits that both assist and interfere with achieving that fulfillment.
Now that the Sun is more active both physically and metaphysically, we may find that our very essence is being stirred. We have begun to question, even more pointedly than before, who we are as individuals, why we're here, and what will satisfy the urge we each have for personal fulfillment.
Because the solar minimum phase began back in 2004, it might be revealing to review the past five or six years in our personal experience, especially as related to our primary needs for fulfillment (as shown by the Sun's location in our charts). Have there been ways in which you've felt things have been "stuck" in this area, or that you haven't been able to find the clarity and insights to move your life forward? (For a reminder of the meanings of the 12 houses, please visit the "Houses" page of my website at http://www.northpointastrology.com/1538.html.)
Perhaps with the Sun gaining in activity, with more information and energy beginning to stir in our atmosphere, in our cells and in our psyches, we'll be able to gain those insights we need for greater personal fulfillment. This process will be supported even more directly after the Spring Equinox, when the Sun enters Aries and begins the astrological New Year.
The Neptune-Chiron conjunction, exact last week, continues to influence the energy field this week. This has been an emotional time for many, as the wounds of separation have been exposed, asking to be healed.
Mercury aligns with Neptune and Chiron next Saturday, bringing into our awareness the issues surrounding our fears of abandonment, rejection, separation and alienation. Next weekend will be an especially powerful time to monitor your dreams for insights, and to spend time journaling on the themes that arise -- remembering that bringing issues into conscious awareness is an important step in their resolution and healing.
Next weekend may not, however, be the best time to expect yourself to be logical and rational, or even especially clear in your communications with others. Neptune's effect on Mercury can be elevating spiritually, but isn't so helpful for tasks that require clear, focused thought.
The feeling of being a bit in "la la land" next weekend is likely to be increased by the Pisces Full Moon on Sunday (at 8:38am PST). The Sabian symbol for the location of the Moon at the time of the lunation (at 10 degrees Virgo), sheds some light on the themes involved:
"Two heads looking out and beyond the shadows: The growth of true understanding, born out of the transcendence of duality even while immersed in the world of duality."
This symbolic image, while related to the Full Moon, also speaks to the energies of the Mercury/Neptune/Chiron alignment in Aquarius. Our third dimensional perceptions are informed by our current dualistic "reality," and so we believe that we can be separate, alienated, and even abandoned or rejected.
In our Highest Self awareness, we know that we are each connected to All That Is, and in that way are never apart from those we love. The struggle of consciousness, as represented by the sign of Aquarius, is how to experience individuality and know our uniqueness, while also accepting that we are One.
For the most part, our minds glaze over when trying to come to terms with such a paradox. But perhaps next weekend's Full Moon and Mercury/Neptune/Chiron energies will help us accept spiritually what we cannot fathom intellectually.
Added to all this is a Jupiter-Sun alignment, also exact next Sunday and so an integral part of the Full Moon experience. Jupiter is the Great Amplifier, exaggerating the energies of whatever he touches. His alignment with the Sun in Pisces will tend to dissolve the boundaries of consciousness even further, making it less clear where I end and you begin, and blurring the separation between dimensions.
Because of this extra emphasis on the Sun at the time of the Full Moon, it makes sense that we also note the Sabian symbol for 10 degrees of Pisces, where both the Sun and Jupiter will be located:
"An aviator pursues his journey, flying through ground-obscuring clouds: Our ability to develop powers and skills which, by transcending natural limitations, allow us to operated in mental-spiritual realms."
This image is a perfect description of how we may feel next weekend, that we are "flying through ground-obscuring clouds." It also gives us even more confirmation about the higher intentions of the Full Moon energies: to move us beyond the constraints of the dualistic mind and into a more spiritually-based perspective. It is this enlightened view of "reality" -- the perspective we gain when our human vision is obscured and we have to rely on our inner navigational tools -- that will guide our flight as we complete the month of February.
Blessings,
Pam

Monday: Saturn sextile Mars, Pluto septile Neptune; Tuesday: Pluto septile Chiron, Jupiter conjunct Venus, Uranus semisquare Mercury, Neptune conjunct Chiron; Thursday: Sun enters Pisces; Saturday: Mars quincunx Sun; Sunday: Saturn quincunx Sun
I've lost count of how many double and triple numbers I've seen over the past two weeks, and especially the last couple of days. It seems like every time I look at a clock (as in just now, when I glanced down and saw that it is 9:33), there's my message.
Those numbers have appeared in other ways as well, as in when I was on the exercise machine last night, glancing down at the display from time to time to see how long I'd been at it, how many calories had been burned, how far I had gone in virtual reality. Nearly every time I looked at the monitor, there was another double or triple number looking back at me.
I know from talking to friends that my experience is not singular. It seems the numeric messages have been overwhelming in their frequency in recent days.
There's always a wondering about what these things mean. My sense is that they're an indicator, as are most synchronistic experiences, that we're in alignment in some way. They're also a reassurance that there is a larger plan at work, and an order and purpose to events occurring.
Author Doreen Virtue calls these number sequences "messages from our angels," and perhaps they are. She has also fully described the meaning of the different number combinations -- for instance, here's what she writes about the 9:33 I just saw as I began to write (perhaps a message for all of us):
3s and 9s: This is a strong message to let go of situations in your life that aren't in integrity or that have served their purpose. Do not artificially hang on to situations because of fear. Know that each and every moment you are taken care of. It is vital that you hold a positive viewpoint about yourself and your future. This viewpoint actually creates what you experience, so ask the masters to help you choose your thoughts from the high point of love.
If you've also been getting numeric messages recently, and you're interested in gaining some clues as to their meanings, Doreen's entire article can be found at this site:
http://spiritlibrary.com/doreen-virtue/number-sequences-from-the-angels
(More messages -- I just took a break to do an astrology reading, had a snack, then opened this back up to write some more, and looked down at the computer clock to see that it is exactly 11:44...)
Astrology is just one of the ways that we gain reassurance that there's more to our experience than the mundane and frivolous workings of Chance. There are many ways we are reminded that there's purpose, intention and meaning in all that occurs, major and minor.
Perhaps Neptune's alignment with Chiron in Aquarius is one reason messages are coming through more obviously now. This alignment is healing the wound of Separation -- the belief that we are separate from Source, separate from our spiritual counterparts, separate from each other.
That Neptune-Chiron alignment is exact on Tuesday this week. We may want to take special note of the messages in our cosmic mailbox now.
Synchronistically, Pluto forms a septile aspect with Neptune and Chiron at the time they are exactly aligned. (A septile is about 51 degrees of separation, one-seventh of the 360-degree circle.) This aspect corroborates the spiritual significance of this alignment and the coming week.
The septile is an uncommon aspect, and works with us in more subtle ways than most. However, its effect is an integral part of what takes us forward now. Here's what some astrologers have written about the septile aspect:
"It urges us to ponderously investigate and deeper essences of reality. It suggests a sabbatical from the surface concerns of the material world, in which inner assimilation can take place." (Bil Tierney)
"It may denote the ability to sense the mysterious whole behind the parts of a subject, and the capacity to embrace intellectually the formative idea or principle behind a thing and so participate in the dynamic energy which that idea imparts." (John Addey)
"It creates a consciousness-expanding struggle within, forcing us to search beyond the obvious, with a natural predisposition to the occult, psychic, or mystical." (Delphine Jay)
"It has to do with the energy linkings that are not entirely of this world, enabling one to peer outside the everyday universe into one of expanded possibilities and truths." (Robert Hand)
In light of these interpretations, it's helpful that many of us in the U.S. have a holiday on Monday this week. Maybe we should take advantage of the day off work by putting ourselves in receiving mode, that we might more clearly and directly understand the messages we are being shown.
The Sun also supports our connection to other realms -- both spiritually and creatively -- as he moves into ethereal Pisces on Thursday. Adding this influence to the energies of the Neptune-Chiron-Pluto interaction, and Jupiter's alignment with Venus in Pisces, it's clear there is a LOT of high-vibrational energy flooding our beings this week.
Enjoy the ride! But be sure to ground yourself before doing anything that takes mental concentration, such as driving or operating machinery, throughout the coming days.
There is another yod configuration next weekend, as the Sun slips into the place held by Venus last week. This "finger of God" formation, which involves Saturn and Mars pointing toward the Sun, indicates we are making major adjustments in our understanding of who we are, as spiritual beings clothed in the structures of ego and society.
Saturn and Mars are both retrograde, and so are taking us on an inner journey of discovery. Mars in Leo supplies the courage needed to go within, to discover what we really want. As he interacts with the Sun in Pisces, we may be adjusting our concept of "ego," to see how we can honor and utilize, not deny, our desire for self-expression.
Meanwhile, Saturn in Libra supports us in having the discipline to bring greater balance into our lives. As he interacts with the Sun, we will be making adjustments in our personal relationships, coming to a new understanding of what it means to be equally fair to ourselves and to others.
Blessings,
Pam

As she orbits the Earth, the Moon varies in her physical distance from us. When she is closest, she is at "perigee"; when when she is furthest away, she is at "apogee."

This photo, copied from Moonconnection.com, compares the size of a full moon at apogee and at perigee using the same camera lens. The Web site explains that:
"The apogee and perigee of the moon have a definite affect on the weather and tides here on Earth. When the moon is at apogee, the furthest distance from the Earth, it has less gravitational pull. Weather conditions can be more stable and the tides more predictable. When the moon is at perigee, closer to the Earth, there is much more gravitational pull and it can whip up the tides and cause weather to become more unstable." The increased electromagnetic field felt on Earth when the Moon is at perigee affects not only our physical weather, but our internal "weather" as well.
We are learning to think in new ways, using the right half of the brain as well as the left. It is the right half of the brain that gives us access to higher-level experiences, while the left half allows us to deal with the physical world and its rules and limitations.
There's a fascinating and inspirational online video that explains more about these ideas, for those who wish to view it:
This link takes you to a 20-minute talk given by Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain researcher who experienced a stroke, but who retained her conscious awareness of the experience. The stroke interrupted the usual activities of the left side of her brain, allowing the right side of her brain to take over.
This woman's experience of "nirvana" during her stroke has given me solace during a time when my own father has been having multiple strokes. And, her story gives considerable insights into how developing the right side of the brain is perhaps the experience of "ascension" we on planet Earth are working toward.
If you prefer to read the text of Jill's talk rather than view the video, here's the link to that transcript: http://blog.ted.com/2008/03/jill_bolte_tayl.php#more
As time speeds up, the left sides of our brains are going into overwhelm on a regular basis, just from the sheer magnitude of information and experience coming in. It occurs to me after hearing Jill's story that perhaps one higher intention of this overwhelm and subsequent shut-down is to encourage us to utilize the right side of our brains, thereby gaining access to a higher level of wisdom.
Blessings,
Pam
The planet Quaoar (pronounced KWAH-o-wahr), a "minor planet" discovered seven years ago that, due to differences in orbit, is sometimes closer to the Sun than Pluto.
Quaoar is still being defined as to its astrological effect, but here are some opinions to consider:
Quaoar inspires our return to the sacredness of life and to natural law, to synchronize with and live according to the natural laws of creation. (Nick Anthony Fiorenza)
Quaoar will reshape the way we think about ourselves, our spiritual evolution, and our place in The Universe. (Richard Brown)
Quaoar allows us to directly access our ability to manifest our reality without the use of super or extra natural means. (Beth Turnage)
Quaoar is associated with the power of our personal creation mythologies -- everything from how we were created, to how we 'create ourselves' in the process of life. (Kirsti Melto)

On June 13, Pluto re-enters the sign of Sagittarius. Why this transit is so significant and what does it mean to you?
Pluto is a tiny, distant body, invisible to the naked eye. Yet, Pluto is incredibly powerful, a force for total transformation, regeneration and rebirth. Pluto asks us to go beyond what we know, redeem ourselves in the process and come out stronger as a result. Pluto represents how we direct our lives.
It takes Pluto a whopping 248 years to complete its orbit around the zodiac and, it takes between 12 and 31 years to pass through a zodiac sign. For the past 12 years Pluto had been stationed in the sign of Sagittarius. Then on January 25, for the very first time since 1778, Pluto moved into the sign of Capricorn!
Now that Pluto is retrograde, it returns to the sign of Sagittarius for about six months until it turns direct again on September 9, moving back into Capricorn in November -- where it settles down for the next 16 years! This six-month period is the last time in your lifetime that you will experience the energy of Pluto in Sagittarius!
Sagittarius is associated with foreign travel, foreign countries and cultures, religion, the law, higher education and all things that expand one's experience and freedom. The sojourn of Pluto in Sagittarius has seen significant events on a global level. On a personal level, the issues you may have had to deal with for the past few years would be very dependent on where Pluto is placed in your individual birth chart as well as where it has been transiting.

Sincerely,
There is a new book out called The Dictator's Astrologer by Roberleigh H Claigh. The book is all about Afra Waesch (the astrologer) and Hitler, comparing their paths, hers toward the light and his toward darkness. Afra was my mother's teacher, and her best friend, whom we children were all fortunate to have influence us also. It was she who introduced my sisters and I to spirituality. Fascinating read. Thought some of you might be interested, especially the people who know astrology as charts are done and analyzed on the top people who surrounded Hitler. Basically it is a great comparison of two people whose paths intertwine and how one's choices make all the difference. The book also indicates how well Afra's Light protected her, even in the most difficult of times. Sharon Wyeth lightkeepers.name@mac.com

This Solar Eclipse marks a new beginning and the ending of a cycle which began with the Solar Eclipse on the 11th August 1999. To see more information regarding that period please click on the following link: http://www.spiritpathways.co.za/Cyclecomplete.html)
Our journey from August 1999 marked a major Spiritual transition where we grew into our higher wisdom. Our growth has been a process of experience, integration and release. We have created experiences in our lives to learn specific lessons, gaining wisdom and understanding. When we have had an experience, we review and integrate the lessons contained therein. Once we have integrated the insights and incorporated them into our subconscious, we release them, keeping the knowledge and information and allowing the emotions of the experience to disperse. It is important that we complete each stage of growth successfully or we may become stuck in one aspect and our growth and development comes to a standstill.
There were three significant aspects to this cycle of transition: the recognition that our Spirit had been restricted and the subsequent accessing of our Spirit; the understanding of our ego identity and its impact on our life; and the accessing of our path into our light and the understanding of our true purpose for being. At this time we are being given the opportunity to review these processes and to complete any stage where we may have gotten stuck in order for us to begin our path of growth again.
In opening ourselves to the energy of the changes now occurring we are able to celebrate these changes as evidence that we have moved onto a new level in our lives. In reviewing the lessons, we allow the old patterns to fall away and are able to take this opportunity to choose the new patterns we wish to create in our lives and in our world.
We have learned the appropriate application of our individual power. We know that it is through our power that we manifest matter from the energetic framework we create with our thoughts, beliefs and desires.
In our world we have been taught that we must be either dictatorial, abusing our power to conquer, or be subservient and give away our power to feel loved and accepted. Our path has been one of balance through these different polarities of our world and we are now at a time where our power and will is perfectly aligned with that of our Creator, the Great Spirit.
Our power is either aligned with our ego or with the Great Spirit, our Creator. When we align ourselves with our ego we apply our energy through manipulation, bargaining and control of others. While we may be able to create and manifest in this way our creations and manifestations are usually not for the highest good of ourselves or our world. These creations will feel empty and unsatisfactory leaving us to want more and better to feel fulfilled.
In aligning our power with our Creator, the Great Spirit, we become conscious channels for manifesting that which is for the highest good of ourselves and all others. We release the need to create specific forms and open ourselves to manifesting that which will help us in fulfilling our purpose on Earth. This right use of power creates a sense of trust in ourselves and a feeling of fulfillment and joy in our creations. We become an extension of the Divine Universal Force.
In aligning our power with that of the Creator, we are able to manifest the light that our planet so desperately needs. We are able to reject the polarities of mastery and slavery and become the true leaders of a new world. We will be guided to resolutions, situations and experiences that are for the highest good of ourselves and all others.
In this cycle of transition we discovered that it is essential that we merge and integrate our Spiritual, mental, physical and emotional selves to feel our wholeness. The Solar Eclipse of February is a time when these energies will combine and create an energy that is more powerful than the sum of its parts, a force which embodies the moment of creation. This energy will clear our minds and renew our bodies and create a rebirth on all levels. Rebirth is not always an easy process but it is a necessary part of the cycles of life and nature. When we are in a place of no movement in our lives, it is as if we are experiencing a period of death. This energy will create a rebirth in a new direction through which we can explore our lives once again. It will create profound and drastic changes on all levels and throughout our experiences.
Some will experience destruction as those areas of ones life that are no longer stable or strong will be torn down. This energy is cleansing and will move through our lives uprooting those creations that no longer serve, enabling new experiences and new creations to take root.
We are being blessed with a time of great change and growth where our energy and our lives will be charged once again. We shall find ourselves in new and unexpected places, full of growth, learning, renewal and adventure.
The key to this process of rebirth is acceptance. Acceptance is a path of surrendering to the higher will of our Creator. It is an act of faith in the greater plan. It shows great courage and wisdom and a willingness to live your belief in the Creators Universal plan.
Wonderful synchronicities and opportunities will arise as our total energy will now be able to work in harmony with our Divine purpose. Our destiny will unfold before us, revealing never before considered ideas and paths to follow. We are at a place where we are able to penetrate the veils of the Void, the place where all knowledge and all possibility are held, and bring into this physical realm those creations which are for the highest good of all beings.
The Great Mystery is about to unfold before you and it is time to own that what which you have created.
Take a look at the beauty of your life and your Spiritual path. Even those aspects which seem dark and depressing will now be revealed to contain light. The currents of energy that are shaping your life, your present and your future, have created something wonderful for you that is just about to be revealed. Take a look at the paths and choices before you all of which are leading you to your dreams.
The path we must now comes from the core of our individuality and will show us our essence and how to bring that into form.
We have learned that living in an isolated and separated state does not bring us happiness or contentment and that the true path to self fulfillment, to happiness, to love and to peace, lies in our connection to the Great Spirit, our Creator. It is through this connection that we realize that all is connected. We are connected to our Earth, to the animals and planets and to each other.
The energetic work we are called to do in this life is only partially physical, emotional and mental. There is also the work of our Soul which involves our service to humanity and the opportunity and challenge for us to be a light in our world.
We are a generation where awareness of the issues of environmental degradation, climate change, war, terrorism and nuclear proliferation are made public. Where we have knowledge and understanding regarding the impact of these issues and we are able to do something about them.
Each generation holds the expectations for all of life and the future of all Creation. What we do in this lifetime will affect the next seven generations of our world, we will impact the next 200 hundred years of time on this Earth. When we heal ourselves and our world we are working for the benefit of the seventh generation into the future.
We are in a time of great service and of deep reflection where we open our hearts to the riches held in our destiny. True merging of understanding and love of ones people and community is required. Justice, humanitarian service and goodwill must become a way of life and it is up to us to seize the initiative on our life paths, to help the needy, to be generous to the poor and to teach others the values of justice, fairness, equality and honour, learning to live in harmony with all of life.
We will find many new opportunities to illuminate our world and we are reminded of our inherent right to experience the blessings of health, wealth and happiness. Imagine the possibility of unlimited joy, love and wisdom.
Believe in miracles and follow your dreams. Rekindle your divine light, wisdom and love. Open your mind and heart to your higher identity which guides you on your path of destiny. Dedicate your life to the destiny you truly wish to fulfill and be the teacher whose words, songs and gentle touch can heal our world.
Accept the healing that your growth has brought you and allow the light and love surrounding you to assist you on your path to your full potential. Even in this time of great energy you are required to face and overcome your refusal to allow right action to flow through you. Control your anger, contain your impulses and keep your faith firm as this is a time of restoration and renewal at your deepest level.

Bridge Disaster in Minneapolis , Aug. 1, 2007: Amazingly, Pluto (key planet of extremes and terror) is almost precisely rising, but Mars in Taurus and Saturn in Leo form 150-degree and 120-degree alignments with that rising Pluto and Ascendant. This creates a mysterious Pythagorean Triangle -- composed of a 90-degree square (Mars to Saturn), 120-degree trine (Saturn to Pluto), and 150-degree inconjunct (Mars to Pluto). You will see in the chart that the Sun and Saturn are in the eighth house -- traditionally associated with death, mysteries, secrets and the unknown. Note the presence of a triple conjunction of the Moon in Pisces (water sign -- the bridge is over the Mississippi River!), Pallas and Uranus (planet of shocks). Pallas equates with engineering! The Moon-Pallas union is within 1 minute of exactitude. In addition to all this, the Galactic Center -- 27 Sagittarius -- is the rising degree area and Pluto has been crisscrossing this place in the zodiac on and off throughout 2007 for the first time in 248 years. Important P.S. on August 2: I looked over the chart for Minnesota itself -- its birthchart for when it entered the Union on May 11, 1858. On that day, Mars at 26+ Scorpio was exactly opposite Jupiter at 26+ Taurus at the birth of Minnesota as a state. The Mars placement at the bridge collapse was EXACTLY opposing its own placement and on top of the Jupiter placement in Minnesota's birthmap! This is quite astounding and another example -- unfortunately -- of dynamic, Mundane Astrology in action. In addition, the powerful transiting Saturn placement (26 Leo) and extremist transiting Pluto placement (27 Sagittarius) also precisely ignited the Mars (accidents) and Jupiter (something LARGE-SCALE) positions in Minnesota's horoscope.Mark Lerner
