Dear Friends,
Thank you for the inquiries received concerning my wife's
healing of cancer. I know from your letters that many loved
ones are strickened with this disease and scared to death
over it. I'll have more to say in the near future about this
and the disease. But for now because some readers have asked
for it, here is our story of healing as it appeared in my book,
The Miracle of Healing in Your Church Today. Be sure to read
the Post Script following the account.

Linda, my wife, was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1998.
The x-ray showed a walnut-size solid mass located in
the upper right lobe of the right lung, with tufts of finger-like
growths extending all around the mass. The whole thing
together looked to be the size of a man's fist. To see if
growth was a fungus and not a cancer, her surgeon ordered
a blood test which came back negative. He then told us
he was 90% certain the growth was a malignant tumor.
Linda was immediately scheduled for lung surgery the
following week. Her surgeon told us he would operate
to remove the upper half of her right lung and associated
lymph glands.
I remember as we drove home the day she was
diagnosed that we were both in shock over this news.
We were confident that the surgeon could do his job
okay, but we had serious doubts about Linda possibly
catching a staph infection while recovering in the Intensive
Care Unit (ICU). Staph infections, which prove fatal in
some cases, are common occurrences in ICU's. When
we shared this concern with her surgeon, he told us the
odds of Linda getting a staph infection in ICU were about
50/50. This was not acceptable to either of us. We also
had doubts that surgery was the answer. After all, the
cancer is part of her body, not some foreign object
lodged in her lungs.
Looking back, I can honestly say we were scared, not so
much because of the cancer, but because we realized
Linda was under spiritual attack. Praise God that we have
spiritual weapons to fight back. Linda immediately gave
her cancer over to Jesus Christ for healing.
We prayed fervently on the matter, and Linda did some
needed spiritual house-cleaning. I then anointed her chest
and upper back with a special blend of healing oils known
for their support of the respiratory system. A friend of ours
had previously told us about healing oils, and we had this
blend on hand. I anointed Linda daily using the oils, and
prayed for her healing in the name of Jesus.
A couple of days after learning of her cancer, Linda called
the surgeon's office to decline the surgery. The surgeon's
nurse did all she could to persuade her to re-consider, but
Linda's faith was strong.
Two months to the day after the first x-ray was taken,
Linda had another chest x-ray taken. Her surgeon had
asked that she do this so he could "monitor the growth
and progression of the tumor." But to the doctor's
amazement, the tumor had shrunk in size. He was
dumbfounded and said, while comparing the x-rays,
"This doesn't happen without intervention."
Linda said back to him, "You're right, Doctor, it doesn't.
We are praying, and my husband is anointing me with
essential oils." Her surgeon simply smiled and said to
keep it up.
Back home we continued in prayer and anointing with oil.
Two months later another x-ray revealed the tumor had
shrunk even more-this time to the size of a pea. The
entire floor of the clinic, housing several other doctor's
offices and their staffs, by now had heard of the "miracle
girl," as they called Linda. One nurse wept openly while
hugging Linda. We were told no one in this clinic had
ever seen or heard of a lung tumor going into remission
without medical intervention.
Today, March 22, 2000, a new x-ray showed no visible
sign of the tumor. My wife's lungs are absolutely clear.
Linda's surgeon, who never operated on her, told us this
is the first time he had ever witnessed such a thing.
I thought it odd he called it a thing and not a healing.
He could not give any medical reason for what his eyes
clearly told him had happened. He just kept looking at
the collection of her x-rays and shaking his head as
in disbelief.
We give God praise, for we know it was He who intervened
and healed her lungs. We also give credit to the healing oil.
Not only did the oil have an apparent effect on Linda's tumor,
it also allowed her to breathe much easier. Used together
as a healing modality, we believe prayer, laying on of hands,
and healing oils are without equal. We give God praise for
His love and provision.
Linda's healing is medically recorded. Her medical records,
including the x-rays, are on file at Rockford Health Clinic in
Rockford, Illinois. Her doctors are Dr. Rogers, Dr. Mellies,
and Dr. William Sacksteder, her would-be surgeon, who I
am certain must be sharing Linda's story with his Fellows
this day.
In praise of our Lord, forever!

P.S.
The primary oil Linda chose for anointing is a blend
of oils produced by Young Living Essential Oils, Inc.
called Raven. This blend of oils is known for its ability
to provide strength in fighting respiratory disease and
infections. The oil was applied to her chest and back.
Periodically I also applied several different oils on her
back and feet using massage, touch and prayer in
a protocol called raindrop procedure.
Linda had several emotional issues she had carried since
early childhood. With much discussion, introspection,
confession and prayer, she freed herself from these issues
and stress. We both feel these emotional issues were
precursors to the disease.
Interestingly, Linda's surgeon, after the fact, no longer
believes Linda had cancer. However, he still believes that
surgery was his best protocol. We have linda's medical
records of the ordeal, and there is nothing in them to
suggest the tumor as anything other than cancerous.
Our conclusion is that her surgeon could not accept
the possibility that the cancerous growth could be
normalized through prayer and oils.
