PRAYER & MEDITATION |
When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing
'dance' at the end of the word. I remember reading that
doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The
movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything
is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle
cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing
lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become
one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender,
willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle
guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw 'G': I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'.
'God, 'u' and 'i' dance.'
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I
would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became
willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and
mercies are upon you on this day and everyday. May you
abide in God, as God abides in you. Dance together with
God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each
season of your life.
Replace the tension within us with a holy relaxation.
Replace the turbulence within us with a sacred calm.
Replace the anxiety within us with a quiet confidence.
Replace the fear within us with a strong faith.
Replace the bitterness within us with a sweetness of grace.
Replace the darkness within us with a gentle light.
Replace the coldness within us with a loving warmth.
Replace the night within us with your day.
Replace the winger within us with your spring.
Straighten our crookedness.
Fill our emptiness.
Dull the edge of our pride.
Sharpen the edge of our humility.
Light the fire of our love.
Quench the flames of our lust.
Let us see ourselves as you see us.
That we may see you as you have promised us.
And be healed according to your word.
Amen.
Let Us Love, not Fear...
Let Us hold Prayers in our hearts, and the vision of Peace flowing throughout the World.
Let Us Unite together today, in a greater way ...
In that of our heart centers wherein we are holding Peace, Balance & Harmony
As we envision this stream of Light flowing out into the World, embracing ALL in Love.
Remember that tiny monastery in the heart of Hiroshima...
the only building left standing, as the monks maintained constant prayer.
Enfolded in the Light of their focus, they lifted their tiny monastery to the heights of their focus...
May we all embrace the World with the focus of God's Light.
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow charity;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying to ourselves that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
